Welcome to my corner of cyberspace. Would you like a cookie?
I’m Sophia Chen, a freelance science writer based in sunny Tucson, Arizona. I mostly cover physics, space, AI, and anything involving numbers.
My writing has been featured in Wired, Science, New Scientist, Physics World, Physics Girl, and more. In 2015, I received the AAAS Mass Media fellowship, and in the not-so-bygone past, I was a physicist. I have a master’s degree in physics from the University of Arizona, and I’m an alum of Oberlin College. In 2012, I received a Fulbright scholarship to study air pollution in China.
